Historique :	Ces silhouettes agenouillées en prière, peintes et découpées sur métal repoussé, n'apparaissent dans les descriptifs de décors de fêtes qu'à la seconde moitié du 19e siècle. Ce dispositif singulier est désigné à Gênes et en Ligurie sous le nom de "cartelami" ou "sâgome" et se signale surtout en pays niçois et dans l'aire génoise. Un grand nombre de ces pièces ont été présentées à Gènes dans le cadre de l'exposition de 2013 au Palais ducal "Il Teatro dei cartelami".
